Registration, Refund and Cancellation Policy

What the fee pays for

The $20 registration fee pays for the team selection session — the administration of screening registrations, running the session and assessing players. It is not a fee for a place in a squad.

Paying it does not buy selection. Selection is decided by the selectors on what they see, and a player who pays and is not selected has still received what the fee was for.

Selection decisions are final

The league’s, the franchises’ and the coaches’ decisions on team selection are final and not open to negotiation. We are not able to accept requests to review a selection decision.

An offer is made after considering team requirements and balance. A player who accepts a place prevents another player from receiving it, which is an ordinary consequence of selection and is worth understanding before accepting.

If you withdraw

If a player withdraws, or cannot attend the selection process after registering, the cancellation fee set by the league applies. The selection process carries costs that are incurred whether or not a player attends.

The fourteen-day cut-off

We cannot accommodate cancellations within fourteen days of a tournament starting. Inside that window there is not enough time to identify a replacement player, run their selection and arrange uniforms.

If a player cannot take part inside that window, for any reason, it is treated as a forfeit.

Late arrival and missed matches

Players who arrive late or do not attend a match are not given replacement matches or refunds. At the league’s discretion, and subject to availability, an alternative game may be offered on the same or a different day.

Uniforms

Uniforms — playing shirt, trousers and cap — are provided by the franchise and paid for by the player. All players must comply with the league’s uniform requirements. A player not in the correct uniform may not take part in training, matches or other league events.

What is not settled yet

The programme cost for the international pathway — flights, camp, accommodation, insurance and what is and is not included — is confirmed at the parent information evening rather than here, and the refund and withdrawal terms for that programme are a separate matter from this policy. Do not assume the terms above apply to it.
