The club
One of the four VECL Chennai franchises, each named for a south Chennai neighbourhood. The Falcons draw on the IT corridor along Old Mahabalipuram Road, where a great many of the league’s families live and work.
All four clubs are owned by the league. After the team selection days the panel drafts players across them, band by band, so that no club is stacked — players do not choose a club, and requests are not taken. A player keeps their club for the whole season, and every club fields a squad in every age band that runs. A band without enough registrations is merged upward or held over to the next season.
Matches are franchise T20 on Sundays, scored live ball by ball and streamed. The squad and fixtures are published once the draft is complete.
