Three clubs, and no postcode rule
The franchises are Melbourne-based but not postcode-bound. Players have come from across Australia and from overseas, and squads are picked from everyone who registers for the season.
What the franchises play
A December tournament, a March tournament, and the junior season.
All three franchises field sides in the VECL December turf T20 tournament and again from March, alongside JT20 and the junior competitions that run through the season. Fixtures and results are published here once each season is under way.
The international pathway sits above the league and is a separate programme with its own try-out — a player can do one, the other, or both.

Squads are picked from everyone who registers.
Register once for team selection across the three franchises. Dates and the season fee are published as soon as they are set.
