Both the league and the international pathway are open to girls and to senior women. Not as an afterthought, and not as a phrase inside somebody else’s page.
What is open, and to whom
The December season is open to girls and to senior women. So is the international pathway: one try-out, one squad, and the same eight days at KIOC in Bengaluru. There is no separate, smaller version of the programme.
That is a deliberate change from how this league used to describe itself. It was built as a junior competition and talked about girls' cricket in a single line on a franchise page. The programme outgrew that description, and the website should not be the last thing to catch up.
Divisions this season

We are not listing divisions until they are set, because a division advertised and then not fielded is worse for a player than one that was never advertised. If you want to know what is realistic for a particular age group this season, ask us and we will tell you plainly.
In India, girls have their own divisions
VECL’s Chennai operation — run by a separate Indian entity under its own ownership — publishes dedicated girls’ divisions with deliberately wider age bands, so that fewer girls are excluded by a birthday. It is worth looking at if you want to see how the league thinks about this.
